That Dope Mom Fall Bucket List 2020

It's my favorite time of the year, FALL! I love everything about this season from the changing of the leaves to the cool breeze. I love Fall fashion, and most of all the Fall family fun is everything! Pumpkin patches, farms, and mazes, hayrides, I can go on and on. Yes, Fall family fun will be different this year but as my family always say, different is dope. You can still make so many fun memories with your family. Below I'll share our annual Fall Bucket List.

Vote- Have a voting plan in place and get it done. This time of the year is also a great time to talk with your kids about voting and why it’s so important.

Nature Walk- Enjoy the natural beauty the new season brings. Take in the beautiful colors Fall has to offer with your family.

Create Alternatives for Trick or Treating- Since we will not be Trick or Treating this year, I want to stay in the Halloween spirit and offer my children some run substitutions.

Halloween Movie Marathon- Grab the family, slip on some comfy spooky pajamas, create a scary delicious snack board and binge Halloween movies both new and old.

Decorate Pumpkins- Thanks to Pinterest I’ve learned there is more than one way to decorate a pumpkin, so why not try them all? Set up a festive crafting area and have fun recreating as many different pumpkin designs as your heart desire. You can even create a comfy festive space outside and enjoy some fresh air while you’re at it. With a lot of us still staying home it’s good to use any chance you get to step outside for a bit.

Shop Local-  It’s always a good idea to buy local. Not only is good for the environment but it’s great for the community as well.

Seasonal Closet Clean Out-  At the end of each season it’s a good idea to clean out your closet. I use this time to donate the clothes my kids can no longer fit and see what new items are needed for each child.

Support Black Owned Businesses- With the holidays right around the corner now is a good time to get some early holiday shopping done with some of your favorite small shops/black owned businesses.

Plan Cozy Outdoor Activities-  We’ve been spending a lot of time home social distancing, with the weather cooling down now is a great time take in all that nature as to offer. Plan a family bike ride, go on a picnic, make smore in your backyard, the opportunities are endless.

Enjoy Fall Treats-  Whether you bake them yourself or purchase them, enjoy all the yummy snacks that screams FALL to you and your family!

D.I.Y Halloween Costumes-  It doesn’t matter if you plan on trick or treating or staying home you can still dress up! D.I.Y some scary cute or simply scary costume and wear them during any of your many festive activities. Working together as a family can double as a fun Fall family activity.
